About Tunnel Run
Tunnel Run drops you into a three-lane glowing corridor where walls of obstacles rush toward you and the only decision that matters is which lane has the gap. It's a lane-dodging endless runner, not a full free-movement game: you only ever choose left, center, or right, which keeps every decision fast and readable even as the game speeds up underneath you.
What sets it apart from typical endless runners is the total absence of jumping, ducking, or power-ups. Every wall that spawns leaves exactly one open lane, and your character eases toward whichever lane you last picked rather than snapping instantly, so timing your switch matters as much as picking the right side. There's no fixed level count and no ending besides a crash — your score is simply how long you survive as the tunnel accelerates, with speed ramping up continuously from the moment you start.
Expect short, replayable runs. A first attempt might last ten seconds; once you learn to read the gap in a wall a beat before it's directly in front of you, runs stretch into a minute or more. There's no save state and no accounts — each run is a clean slate, which makes Tunnel Run the kind of game you open for a two-minute break rather than a long session.
How to play
Controls: press the left or right arrow key (or A/D) to switch lanes on desktop. On a touch screen, tap the left or right half of the screen to move toward that side.
Objective: survive as long as possible. The tunnel's obstacle walls spawn continuously, each leaving a single open lane, and the pace of new walls increases the longer you last. Your score climbs automatically the longer you're alive, weighted by how fast the tunnel is currently moving.
First-time guidance: don't wait until a wall is right on top of you to react — look one wall ahead for the gap, and commit to a lane switch a little early, since your character glides into position rather than teleporting there.
Tips
- Commit to a lane switch before the oncoming wall reaches the middle of the screen — your position is read as the wall arrives, and a last-instant press can still leave you mid-transition.
- Speed ramps up roughly every few seconds and never resets, so a run that feels hard at 15 seconds won't get easier — treat each run as a sprint for a personal best rather than a grind for endless survival.
- On touch devices, tap firmly near the left or right edge of the screen rather than near the center — taps close to the middle are more likely to register against the wrong lane when you're already near a boundary.
Frequently asked questions
Does Tunnel Run save my score?
No accounts and no leaderboard yet — your score only exists for that run and resets the moment you play again.
Can I play with a gamepad?
Not currently. Keyboard arrow keys or A/D, and tap controls on touch screens, are the only supported inputs.
Why did I crash even though I pressed the right key?
Your character eases toward the target lane instead of snapping instantly. If you switch a fraction of a second too late, part of your character can still be crossing into the gap when the wall reaches you.
Does the game ever end besides crashing?
No — Tunnel Run is endless. There's no fixed number of levels; the only way a run ends is by hitting an obstacle.
